RCS training was done at Inanda for community. It was very hot. We moved out of the room and trained under the tent. I had to reduce activities because people could not stand the heat. We managed to finish the training which was mostly theory and discussions.

On the 6th to the 9th of November 2018 I trained community members of Kareedouw and Wittekleibosch on the Give Yourself A Job programme. We have finished all 14 lessons in both Sites and it was an interesting and insightful activity and I have gained very much as well in facilitating the training. I hope that the participants will translate theory into practice by converting their ideas into actual jobs for themselves.

Its the second time and a joy training at Ritchie a place near Kimberley. Not a lot of training opportunities are going to this community. Employment opportunities are slim. Thus us being involve in this community gives hope and a light at the end of the tarnel. Through the partnership with avocado vision and companies like RCS. Domant dreams, idea's are being awaken and through networks job opportunities arises. The is a room for for great development in the Northern Cape .

For the months of October and November I have trained 4 Ikhaya Fo' Sho! and 2 Coronation In Depth workshops. The common trend with all workshops has been the enthusiasm and eagerness of Participants to imbibe the knowledge and skills during training. Another commonality has been the erratic numbers of Delegates attending the sessions. I have experienced on several occasions cancellation of sessions due to very minimal numbers of Delegates pitching up, notwithstanding incidents where participants had confirmed their attendance the previous day or two before the workshop. With Catering having been prepared a day before, this puts one in a very disadvantageous situation where you have to give the food away and in the process incur some losses. i am wondering how Avo can help in such situations, to come up with ways and means of assisting . Recruiting the leaners back was not a challenge. Working with Coronation French two I was not sure if the leaners will come back after module one especially after homework, but they showed enthusium. The leaners enjoyed all the modules, and we had great time. This training is having impact in their lives and this group of people are appreciative they really want to change their lives for better.
