Sanlam MFS and MM Since it is now level 1 recruitment was no longer a problem and people were coming in numbers to attend trainings. Money fo sho went well and I promised my groups to come back with MM. Unfortunately I couldn't because the target was enough for 1 group. The challenge was that people were no longer wearing masks and had to buy disposable ones for them. That led to a thorough covid awareness as most people believe in myths than facts On one Sunday a Sanlam representative visited us to evaluate training. She was excited to see how the programme is managed. She also raised her concerns about the duration of training.

Coronation virtual training It was a great opportunity to be part of this training. Virtual has many benefits as compared to F2F. I had an opportunity to reach many people in a short period of time. These trainings brought hope to people that this is not the end but we need to plan for now and future. If the participant miss a session has a chance to read the whole conversation when he/she is available. Challenges Issuing of airtime Participants who did not have data to do pre and post evaluation However this is a great initiative and I enjoyed making impact during Covid19.

Nondumo Mbana

Sanlam money fo-sho financial literacy training was held at nu1 community hall. The learners showed enthusiasm and the training went very well. They didn't know the difference between transaction account and savings account , and they promise to start saving money. They were so happy about the certificates.

My session went very well considering I had older people than my usual groups,although because of the hot weather some of them found it difficult to concentrate under their masks,so I told them to go outside and get some air should the need arise.Banking is always a winner,this is where they asked the most questions.Lastly,i had this guy who was just there to disagree with everything i said WOW!!!!

Productive session with a group of chefs in training. It was a bonus that they even enjoyed the food we had prepared for them.

Training was held at Matsikeng Village. It was organised by the chief of the village who wanted training to be attended only by his chosen people in the village. Some of the village members heard about the training and they came to attend and it caused a lot of misunderstanding wich I had to step in and sort it out with the chief of the area. Amongst the attendees were small business owners who were happy to receive the training and they realised that knowing how to manage personal finances is as important as it will help in managing their businesses better. An emphasis was made on saving and investing for their future. With banking they were made aware of different bank accounts for personal finances and for business purposes. The story of Lazarus was both interesting and informative at the same time. It got them engaged a lot and helped them to understand what is Life insurance and the importance of drawing up a will. I still have to go back to the village to negotiate more training sessions with the chief.

4 days sessions on Sanlam Money Modular was most impactful in community of Khayelitsha in Town 2. I trained young people who are in college and some are doing parttime jobs. The most interesting module that they engaged on was Managing Debts. They said it is painful that their parents are working to pay debts. They said this was a great opportunity for them to change mindsets and behaviour of our people. These young people needed more of such trainings.

The money module was ok but slight challenge is the handouts which were on the charts, grouping learners around covid 19 pandemic so learners suggested individual copies and we reduced to A4 page for handouts. We had wonderful and informative training.

Community health workers liked the training and learned more about how to save money make budget and to manage the unforseen circumstances and motivated them to organise more learner from there community.it was unfortunate we had few sessions than they had. They recommending we should come back more learner will be available
