My class at the CWA was great, even though the turnout wasn't great. The guys grabbed the information with open minds and hearts. I could not have asked for more of any group. Thanks CWA

For my community this training came handy as they were financial blinded they could not tell between bank accounts , they taught budgeting is to write a list of groceries when doing shopping . When coming to credit when doing credit display part they could not believe how much they giving up so we all agreed to start saving towards our goals , they really associate with the programmes modules and their daily lives .In one session we were brought to tears by an 16 yrs old Lindokuhle who said in his 3-5 yrs saving he wants to save his pocket money to help the most disadvantaged to continue schooling . For myself it really sadened me learning that my communities are so much in credit and they see credit as an only option to life and that they do not ask questions in places like banks and furniture stores as they are afraid of to upset educated people so they end up paying the price .

My training session were exciting i learned more when different age groups are in the same session usually the older generation will be angry with the young ones when it comes to the need and wants, there will be disagreement especially with the technology like cellphones, television and owing your own car

On the 15th of Dec I was training the community of Rethabiseng. The attendance was good and exceeded 32. Most people were employed. The training took place at a local church and the Reverend have requested training for the church members which will be done in 2018. The group was so active and they assisted with some catering and admin work. The training was well received and it was relevant to the group.

First session on 29 November held at JL Zwane in Gugulethu. The session was a success I had more than 32 participants but I had to explani that the session is meant for 32 participants and the others understood and stayed. They learnt a lot about budgeting, prioritising between wants and needs, funeral and life covers. There was a lot of discussion around Black tax which I thought we should have a subject around that. I also liked the diversity within the group. I realy appreaciate this opportunity of impacting my community in a positive way.

I am very humbled by the response I get from communities about the Coronation Money Fo Sho Financial Skills training. This is the very first of it's kind around Northern Cape, specifically Kuruman and surrounding areas and therefore everyone is so very interested about learning how to manage money wisely and ways of growing money and am so happy to be the one sharing such important information with them. This project has also helped with to become financially stable because I can also better my life and buy assets which i've also needed in my life. I want to thank Directors of Avocado Visions as well as their entire team for giving me such an awesome opportunity not forgetting Coronation who made it all possible. I wish that I could do this forever, empowering communities with knowledge.

The training I did yesterday was in a shelter for homeless people. The poverty and dispair is what greeted me. I left them with a glimmer of hope

For my communities they have been in the dark financially not aware of types of bank accounts & credit impact in their lives , saving methology towards their goals .Now they understand better and this will change their lives and how they behave financially . The story of Lindokuhle whos 16 yrs brough t everyone in tears . For myself to hear and see their reactions towards the training encouraged me to do more and alleviate poverty . Meet Lindokuhle eho has a 3-5 yrs saving goal of helping most disadvantaged .

I had a great experience with all of my groups, the Community Development Workers that I am linked up with by the City of Cape Town were welcoming, supportive and very excited to have a valuable training such as the Financial Skills Training to provide to the community. I could proudly say that Avocado Vision is creating quite a positive footprint in Cape Town. Even the councillor from Greenpoint, who came to receive me when I went to train COR- 1519 indicated that as the City of Cape Town they have heard of the good work that we have done in our first two sessions in Town Two and Site B and they are hoping to continue developing Khayelitsha with us going forward. On the other hand, the participants were enthusiastic and fully willing to change into beings that are money savvy; by means of budgeting, saving and investing for the future. We are currently viewed as the team that is changing the people's lives. I AM VERY PROUD TO BE PART OF THE AVOCADO VISION TEAM!
