Coronation financial literacy training took place at Cato Manor from 23 to 26 October 2018. It was delivered to college students. I had more than 32 students because of the interest and the stories shared by other students who attended the training in August. There was a challenge with taking pictures as the lecturer had a bad experience. Some trainers took pictures for students and shared on social media with negative captions. However the training went well and more students wanted to be trained but could not because of the space and resources.
Both Coronation and TUHF programmes were very hectic and fulfilling at the same time. Delegates in both programmes felt motivated and raring to go out there in their Communities to embark on Projects addressing the needs of their Communities while at the same time creating income generating opportunities, iutilising their talents and skills in the process. This was only possible after , besides facilitating Financial Management programmes, motivation of Delegates has become an integral part of facilitation ensuring Delegates do personal introspection of what Skills and talents they possess which they can utilise effectively to realise their dreams and goals and in the process also create employment to their immediate community members.
Many participants enjoyed module 1,2,3 and 4 We had a great experience with the members whom contntiued till the last day
GREEN BUSINESS VALUE CHAIN MENTORING SESSION IN MATATIELE : COR 3114 We have been having these networking and mentoring sessions with the GBVC candidates in Matatiele , these are the candidates that were selected through the dragon day selection process , they have been exciting and having their difficulties but I think it takes time to adjust but surely we getting there . It has been very good to here from the candidates that have already started their small green businesses , walking with them in every step of the way is challenging but a very good experience taking you out of your comfort zone .
COR 3351 : MODULE 2 STORY : Facilitating this session in a school has been fascinating as these students really relate to the module and are actively participating especially the accounting class as some of the things we talked about are in their curriculum , it was very encouraging having them engaging in that way .
From the 20 to the 21 of September we were training the Community of Wittekleibosch on Give Yourself A Job lesson 2 and 3. Very appreciative group of people who really want to change their lives for the better and they report that the training is contributing to that effect.
On the 19 - 20 September we were training the Community of Kareedouw on lesson 2 and 3 of Give Yourself A Job and participants were enthusiastic and reported how the trainings are already having impact on their lives. Some have previously failed in their own businesses and felt the training is equipping them to perform better in future.
Working with coronation on this trench two in Free State has been quiet an experimental in a sense that I'v e been thinking what it would be like to back to the community that I have trained before and refresh them to establish how fa far are they with getting their finances in order.Some of them had challenges that they needed help with and the training helped them because they knew where to go for help. Recruiting them back into training was not a challenge but getting them to come everyday until the fifth day was not easy. There those who came consecutively and those who came on intervals because of commitments they had somewhere else.The learners appreciated training, and feedback that I got from them gave me assurance that all the work that was put in from organising the venues,the catering and training itself did not go in vain, although some of them stated that its the first time they see the certificate of that size.Thank you Coronation.
Started with lesson one of Give Yourself A Job training with the community of Kareedouw. People have received the training very well and to informative and contribute to their current situation. The people appreciate and are very grateful to the Trust and the Cennergi for the training opportunity, one lady Lavona Langford even shared how these trainings have helped her help her son with his start-up furniture making business.
