As we continue to empower our communities with financial skills and financial knowledge. We had an opportunity to train the community of Bafokeng at Lefaragatlhe, Phokeng village just on the outskirts of the Platinum City of Rustenburg, in the North West Province of RSA. We were tackling and talking about Boosting my Income, which is module 5 of our Money Modular. As a Facilitator I was excited and challenged at the same time by the level of participation particularly from the young people. The tools we used helped participants to understand the content better. During the engagements I noticed one vibrant and jolly young man Thabo is his name, a 25 year old just finished his N6 at Rustenburg Orbit College. And this is what he said about boosting my income "Firstly, it provides financial stability by enabling you to cover your living expenses and save for the future. Secondly, an extra income opens up opportunities for a better quality of life, allowing you to afford things that bring you joy and fulfillment. Moreover, boosting your income provides a sense of security in case of unexpected expenses or emergencies". As a Facilitator I was amazed and proud at the same time that this young man wrapped up the session with these great nuggets and he concluded by saying " Additionally, an extra income can help you achieve your long-term goals, such as buying a home, starting a family, or traveling. By actively working towards increasing your income, you can create a more secure and fulfilling future for yourself and your loved ones". And all I could say at that time was "Amen"
