A Fruitful Partnership and Social Cohesion
Everytime the word social Cohesion comes to mind it reminds me of unity and Partnership that's really working. In terms of the training and development work one is involved in its always the case especially with the Partnership between Avocado Vision and the financial institutions and between Avocado Vision and the community and the organization we do training with. This is exactly what happened almost 9 months ago when we introduced the financial skills training to the Marikana youth development in Rustenburg. I have since that time been able to do training with 3 separate groups of young people with latest Partnership being with a group involved in the social development programme learnership. The group is so thankful for the opportunity to be trained and enlightened on so many issues regarding finances and money matters. What some take for granted is however appreciated in not so empowered communities. Almost 20 sessions done thus far. This is the power of financial literacy and social cohesion. Even when the training had to be moved from Ikageng in Potchefstroom Northwest to Marikana Rustenburg due to early holiday closure, the Marikana team did not disappoint as they hosted us once again. To all our partners thanks again for making a difference where it counts especially in the rural parts of our country.
