Coronation Money Modular module 3&4. Participants were excited to share their stories on how scams and fraud has impacted their finance, one in particular from Nthabiseng Morabe who has experienced a phishing that made her to lose all her savings due to phishing call scam from Jet. She provided all her details including her banking details, pin and id numbers to the scammers and hours later R5780 of her savings was withdrawn from her account. She went to the bank to claim her money but unfortunately the bank investigated the matter and she was called to hear the bad news that she authorized the payment and she won't get her money back. She is now sending the matter to banking ombuds for assistance and she is confident that she will definitely get her money and she will give any stranger her details any more after the sessions. She really appreciate what Avo in partnership with Coronation is doing to her community as a lot of people have experienced the same incident but with no knowledge of where to start.
