Cor-1475 Training session in at the Philani Community Centre in Town Two, Khayelitsha was amazing. Funny enough I had to share my very first day of training in Cape Town with Minister Dan Plato. In the beginningI was terrified, thinking abahlali will choose the minister over the training. But to my surprise, we had about 37 attendance of abahlali who are hungry for the first annual skills training. So my first experience was incredible. After the training people were asking when are you coming again. Thank you Avocado Vision for sharing the light with Khayelitsha!!!

COR-1472 This was my Live Practical Session at Ivory Park in Noth Community hall. Though I was bit late due to logistics and the catering delayed too. But I managed to keep participants intact. Participants engaged well in the program. There was an old lady who supposedly be a pensioner who had a serious credit issues. I gave her contacts to refer to. Over and above the session was Great!

The training in kwa-thema social services with members of different cooperatives went well. They were very excited to be part of the training . Participation was so high they appreciate the opportunity from avocado and coronation. I learned a lot from them as much as they learned from the programme

My first Avo training week was an incredible journey. The trainer was approachable, caring, supportive and overall amazing. The training was informative, I thought I was one of the most informed consumer as I have formal Business Management training from the University of Stellenbosch Business Academy. To my surprise, I realise that as much Business Management is my game, however, when it comes to my personal/ family financial management, I find that I am not on point. But going forward now, I feel I have the necessary tools to both teach my family as well as my community, thereby stimulating a generation of saving and investing people who are building a better future.
